Girls Rock the House is searching for passionate leaders to help impart knowledge of the political process and the history of women in politics while building the self esteem of 8th grade girls. Instructors will be given a teaching manual and resources to follow throughout the six-week curriculum. Instructors will be responsible for the following:
- Recruit and register group
- Lead teaching modules
- Provide guidance to girls throughout the bill writing process
- Solicit judging panel for group presentations in Module 6
- Accompany group winner to Congressional District Competition
- Have the program approved by school or organization
- Schedule meeting day and time within schools
- Secure meeting location
- Obtain all permission slips
- Develop group facebook site if desired
Instructor Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Attend all 6 weeks of the curriculum
- Participate in training call
- Submit an application for approval
